18 Door
Door County (pop. 30,000) occupies almost all of Wisconsin’s signature peninsula jutting out into Lake Michigan. It is one of the state’s most popular tourist destinations. The county’s permanent population is 93% white, and the median age is 14 years older than the state average. Levels of educational attainment are similar to the state average. Door is one of Wisconsin’s most politically competitive counties. George Bush and Barack Obama each won the county twice. Donald Trump won it in 2016, but if flipped to Joe Biden in 2020.
